Leadership workshop participants collaborating around a table in a bright loft space

Leadership Workshops that change how your managers actually manage

Most leadership training gets forgotten within a week. Ours sticks because we build it around the real problems your team brings into the room. Small groups, live practice, honest feedback.

Based in West Gislason, running workshops across England since 2017.

Workshop formats

We run four distinct formats. Each one targets a different stage of leadership growth, and none of them involve trust falls.

The fundamentals day

A single-day intensive for new managers (under 18 months in role). We cover delegation that actually delegates, feedback conversations that don't end in awkward silence, and how to run a meeting people want to attend. Participants leave with a written 30-day action plan reviewed by a facilitator.

1 day · 8 participants max · £485 per person

Conflict and difficult conversations

Two half-days, a week apart. The gap matters: participants practise between sessions and return with real stories. We use recorded role-plays (with consent) so people can watch themselves and spot the habits they never noticed. Uncomfortable? A bit. Useful? Extremely.

2 half-days · 6 participants max · £620 per person

Strategic thinking for mid-level leaders

Three days spread across six weeks. This one is for managers who've mastered the basics but keep getting pulled into operational detail. We work on prioritisation frameworks, stakeholder mapping, and building a team that can function when you're not in the room. Each participant brings a live strategic challenge from their own work.

3 days over 6 weeks · 10 participants max · £1,250 per person

In-house team reset

We come to you. This format works best when a team is stuck: post-restructure tension, a new senior hire disrupting the dynamic, or just years of accumulated "that's how we do things." We spend a day diagnosing, then design a two-day intervention specific to your group. No off-the-shelf slides.

How a workshop actually runs

Pre-work (2 weeks before)

Every participant fills out a short diagnostic. It takes about 12 minutes and covers their current challenges, team size, and what they've already tried. We read every single one. This shapes the session content, so no two workshops are identical.

Morning: input and models

We introduce two or three frameworks, never more. Each one gets a 15-minute explanation followed by 30 minutes of small-group application. We avoid lecturing. If someone checks their phone, that's our problem, not theirs.

Afternoon: live practice

Participants pair up for structured practice rounds. These aren't generic scenarios pulled from a textbook. They're drawn from the pre-work diagnostics, anonymised and adapted. A facilitator observes each pair and gives specific, written feedback within the session.

Close: commitment round

Each person states one concrete change they'll make in the next five working days. Not a vague intention. Something observable: "I will hold my Monday check-in to 20 minutes" or "I will give written feedback to two team members by Thursday." The group hears it. That social pressure helps.

Follow-up (4 weeks later)

A 45-minute group video call. We check what stuck, what didn't, and why. Participants often say this call is where the real learning lands, because they've had time to test things in the wild.

What the numbers look like

We survey every participant 90 days after their workshop. Here's the aggregate from 2022 to 2025.

Regional NHS trust, 2023

Twelve band-7 ward managers completed the Fundamentals programme. Their 360-degree feedback scores on "clarity of delegation" improved by an average of 1.4 points (on a 5-point scale) within four months. Staff sickness absence on those wards dropped 11% in the same period, though we can't claim sole credit for that.

Manufacturing firm, Midlands, 2024

After a merger created tension between two site teams, we ran a three-day Team Reset. Exit survey showed 89% of participants felt "more confident raising concerns with the new leadership structure." Six months later the HR director reported a 30% reduction in grievance filings across the combined sites.

Common questions

For open-enrolment workshops, we typically fill dates six to eight weeks out. In-house engagements need more lead time because of the diagnostic phase. If you're looking at a date less than four weeks away, get in touch anyway. Cancellations do happen.
We've delivered in Scotland and Wales and can travel to most of the UK. International delivery is possible but priced separately to cover travel and accommodation. We've run sessions in Dublin and Amsterdam for UK-headquartered companies with European teams.
Yes, but only for the Conflict and Difficult Conversations format, which adapts well to video because of the paired practice structure. The other formats lose too much when moved online. We tried. We stopped.
It happens rarely, but we have a protocol. The facilitator speaks with the person privately during a break. If the behaviour continues, we contact the sponsoring organisation. In seven years we've asked one person to leave. The group dynamic matters too much to let one individual derail it.
If you're booking four or more places on the same workshop, or committing to a series across the year, we offer a reduced rate. The exact figure depends on format and volume. Email us with the details and we'll quote within two working days.
Our lead facilitator has 14 years of experience in management development, previously heading L&D at a FTSE 250 company. We also work with two associate facilitators, both with backgrounds in organisational psychology. You'll know who's leading your session at least three weeks before the date.
